Pollinator Habitats

What is a Pollinator Habitat?

Pollinator habitat an area that provides food and nesting space for natural pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. They make use of native flowers and grasses to provide the necessary diversity that pollinators need.

Why are they important?

Pollinator habitat is important because it helps increase species diversity, promote native species, provide pollination services, and maintain healthy ecosystems that are relied upon. Pollinator habitats can even help the ecosystem control pest species.
